15k Mile: SecurityCheck the door locks, lid locks, and safety hooks
of the front lid to ensure that they are secure and functioning
properly. Tools
needed. Torque wrench capable of measuring 7 ft-lb Parts needed. None, except some type of oil that is not specified in the manual. Procedure. Check the fastenrs for the latches on the front and rear trunks, both the retaining nuts on the lid and on the latch, and check the door lock fasteners. All should be torqued to 7 ft-lb. Door lock must engage in two stages and open when either the inside and the outside handles are operated. Check the functionality of the trunk lid latches. They should engage and release only when lid releases are pulled. Safety hook, front lid. The front lid must be held down by the safety hook after the lid lock is opened. The safety hook must engage in the retaining plate at its lowest point.
