We met with Uncle Steve and Aunt Diane and Grandma and Granddad and Joe and Mary Olivia and went to a great place to eat in DC.

Springtime Tour of Willow City Loop

We finally got to go see Willow City Loop in the spring.  It's easily one of the most beautiful places in Texas.  On a 13 mile stretch of road there is scarely a patch of land without flowers on it.  Of course the blue bonnet is very popular.  Then we went to pick strawberries.

Busy Day

Elle had a busy day today.  First thing in the morning was a princess theme birthday party.  Then came her first swimming lessons, then roller skating.  She was so good all day and had a lot of fun.

Note that the birthday girl is Vivian, the second from viewer's right, but Elle still manages to inject herself at the center of attention.  I wonder if this is a good thing.

Elle was more than happy to celebrate Mom's birthday.  She loves to sing "Happy Day to You" and she got a kick out of putting the candles on the cake.  The fire marshall forbid putting the proper number of candles on Mom's cake.  Elle liked helping Mom blow the candles out too.  Here are some pictures from the party.

Elle's Hair

I'm getting really worried about Elle. The senior prom is coming up before we know it and if she doesn't get any hair before then, she's going to have to go with the bald look. It worked for Sinead O'Connor until she started making everyone hate her, and it works for Persis Khambatta on Star Trek, but other than that, it's not a look most women want.



I think there is some resemblance to Elle.

So, we decided to see what she would look like with hair.

Coming Home from Drill

After spending the weekend waist deep in mud with the Marine Reserves, I was happy to come home and see my wife and daughter. Liz takes the pictures so she isn't in them as often as I am.

Going Home

Our daughter Elle Madison Rentner joined the world on January 6, 2007. She weighed 6 pounds and 3 ounces, and 19 inches.

Her mother, Liz, is doing fine and Elle is heathy and happy. Here is a nice picture of them both.
